May Paper Pumpkin

Wow - It's been a while since I last posted.  I was on a vacation for a week & then just playing catch up & getting ready for last Sunday's Stamp Club kept me pretty busy.

But...I have a great post for you today.  So, yesterday Jessica (my-daughter-in-law) & I got together & did the May Paper Pumpkin.  After about the first 2 we decided to switch it up a little.

Here is what the original's should look like.
Of course I didn't stamp a sentiment under the Happy yet.  I wanted to wait until I might need them for something specific.  So that will add a little more oomph to them later.

Here is how I switched mine up & to see how Jessica switched hers up, check out her blog @ http://alajessica.blogspot.com/

I went for the Halloween theme on this one.  I took a piece of the pumpkin pie corrugated that came with the kit & die cut Happy out of it, & just put a Basic Black behind it. Simple but effective.

I then got an idea that I would try & use all of the new in colors.  The only color I did not use was the Dapper Denim.  Jessica did a couple with that color, so don't forget to check hers out. This one is with the new Sweet Sugarplum.  I embossed with the Softly Falling, & stamped with the new Painters Palette.  A little ribbon & die cut & you have a new card, with not much effort.

Now, on to Flirty Flamingo.  This is a little bright for me, so...I spritzed it with basic gray spritz to tone it down a little..  I then used the new Layering Squares Framelits, & stamped with the Painters Palette again.  Of course you always have to add a little ribbon for bling.  Now you can't really see it in the picture, but I did add the silver metallic thread behind it.  Sometimes pictures just don't do cards any justice.

Now, the least of my favorites for the new colors is the Emerald Envy.  To tone this one down a little I took the white craft ink & drug it a crossed the paper & blended it in with a paper towel.  I know hard to tell in the photo.  Added some of the new Playful Palette Washi Tape & die cut Happy out of the Peekaboo Peach & dabbed white ink on it also.

Last but not least is the Peekaboo Peach.  I stamped the Watercolor Wash in Peekaboo Peach & spritzed it with Pool Party.  Again I used the Pumpkin Pie corrugated paper that came with the kit & die cut Thanks.

Hope you enjoyed my version of the May Paper Pumpkin.

Have any questions let me know.
