Boo

A few weeks ago I showed how to do the Eclipse Technique.  Today I am sharing a quick way to do it with DSP.

Die cut your letters out of DSP and layering them back up with Foam Adhesive Strips.

I also stamped and die cut three pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle.

Here Kitty Kitty

For those that don't know very well, I am not really a cat person, I am a dog person.  that being said I do love my grand-kitten Moxi an she is getting better with our chocolate lab puppy Cooper.

Today I wanted to share a quick and easy card for Halloween

The Spooky Night DSP has 2 pieces that have cats on them that fit the cat punch.  So..I punched out one black and one orange attach another piece of DSP, a little stamping at the bottom and you have a very quick Halloween card.

How is that for quick and easy!

Happy Halloween

Halloween is fast approaching & I have not posted very many Halloween cards.  I feel like I have been stuck in the Christmas theme, probably because of the Holiday Card class.

So...today I am going to share four different Halloween cards I made using the Tissue Paper Technique.  As I was setting at my desk trying to think about what I wanted to work on for Halloween cards I had several pieces of tissue paper already stained staring right at me.  They were all in fall colors, so I decided to go with it.

I thought I had posted this technique earlier, but could't find where I had gone into detail about it.  This is an easy technique to do, but a little messy.  I played with several different color combos at the same time.  Unfortunately I don't remember all the colors I worked with to do all these backgrounds.

On a craft mat or wax paper stamp several different colors of ink pads in a circular motion.  Spritz with water or if you make your own colored spritzer (like I do) use that.  Blend your colors just a little with a brush or Aqua Painter.  Drop Tissue paper on top and let it soak it up.  You should be able to use several pieces of tissue paper for each one depending on how big your piece of tissue paper is.  Let dry, or dry with with embossing gun.

After it is completely dry scrunch the tissue paper up in a tight little ball, then unfold, but do not flatten it out.  The more wrinkles the better.  Take a piece of card stock slightly smaller then your piece of tissue paper and glue the tissue paper down.  I like to use a glue stick for this.  Trim off excess tissue paper.  Take your Black Archival Ink and drag it across the top of the tissue paper and add clear embossing powder.

You can see each one is just a little different, depending on what colors you put down on your craft mat.

This one easily could of been a Thanksgiving card.

Different color combination, using the Fresh Fig and the Brick embossing folder.

Also could be used for Thanksgiving.

And of course I had to do something with the cat punch again.

I will add supplies at the bottom, but like I said previously I don't remember exactly every color combo I came up with for the Tissue Paper backgrounds.

I added a few different colors that I know I used for the Tissue Paper, but just have fun and experiment.

Here is a link to the one we did in a Christmas card at the Stampin' Palooza.

Hope you enjoyed this project, if you have any questions please let me know.

Stampin' Blends

Hello Everyone,

Today I want to share some info about the new Stampin' Blends that will be available November 1st.

These are the new alcohol markers.  Now, I don't always do a lot of coloring on my cards and if I do I tend to use the blender pen and ink pads.  But..I decided to bite the bullet and try these out.  Now I have not had a chance to use them all that much but what I have done.  I really like them!!

I took the new Just Add Color DSP and started coloring.  I had bought this paper and still had not done anything with it.  But...I have to say it was perfect for the Stampin' Blends.

Stamped Happy Birthday punched it out and added a little ribbon.

This is with the feather paper.

I have attached a video showing the new Stampin' Blends.

Also you can down load a copy of the new brochure with the price list here.
