Good Morning Magnolia

I learned how to do this technique from Sarah at the theartfulinker.  I will post the video she did explaining this technique at the end of this post.  This is called Faux Oxide Ink Technique.

Now I have to admit when I fist started adding the ink I was not happy with the result.  But...never give up on a card.  I just did a little more blending and then stamped the magnolia.

When you have a big bold stamp like this magnolia, sometimes it's all about the background.  To get this affect you first drag your Whisper White Craft Ink over the top on a piece of Shimmery White card stock.  In Saraha's video you will see she used sponge daubers to add her color.  I used my blending brushes from amazon.  I used Daffodil Delight, Rococo Rose, Blueberry Bushel and Balmy Blue.  I then lightly spritzed water on top of the whole card and blotted it with a paper towel.  Dry it with an embossing gun and stamp the magnolia in Memento Ink.

Add ribbon and layer.

Here is another one with a different color combination.

I used Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Rococo Rose and Blueberry Bushel. I stamped the magnolia in Versa Mark and embossed with Shimmer Black Embossing Powder.

On this one you can see the water drops from the spritzing.
