Magnolia Lane card's and box

Today I am sharing a box and several cards that fit inside. This would make a great gift for someone.  I have a total of 8 cards and envelops in it, but I think you could get 10-12 total.

For the box - The base is a piece of Basic Black - 8 1/2" x  10" score on all 4 sides at 2".  Cut all 4 ends and fold.  The lid is a piece of Petal Pink - 6 5/8" x 8 1/8" score on all 4 sides at 1".  Cut all 4 ends and fold.

I decorated the top with a piece of Basic Black and then a piece of Magnolia Lane DSP.  Before attaching the DSP attach a piece of Organdy Striped Ribbon.  To make the flower on top I punched 6-8 out of Whisper White with the Perennial Flower punch and die cut 6-8 of the large flower with the Magnolia Memory Dies.  I also die cut 2-3 of the center flower.  I sponged the flower pieces on the edge with Petal Pink and the center with So Saffron.  I then just started layering the pieces with glue dots until you have the size you want.

Now onto the cards I put inside.  I wanted to use the Magnolia Lane DSP for all the cards and envelops.

Wouldn't this make a great hostess or thank you gift for someone?  Next week I will be sharing a Christmas version I made with the same paper, but altered the size of the box to not be as tall.  It only holds 4-6 cards.
