2018-2020 In Colors

Today I wanted to send out a reminder about the retiring In Colors.  When the new catalog goes live in June we will have a new set of 2020-2022 in colors.  So...that means the 2018-2020 colors will be gone.  If you don't have them yet, now is a good time to get them.  Don't wait until the retired list comes out.  They go like hot cakes!

I decided to take the new Ornate Garden DSP and the 2018-2020 In Colors and make the same card with all five colors.

I used a piece of the gold flowered foil from the new Ornate Garden DSP and  sponged (blending brushes) the background using the Ombre effect.  I used my favorite blending brushes, but you could use the Stamping Sponges or the Sponge Brayers.

This is Blueberry Bushel, and the only one I did not layer with a piece of Basic Black.  I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, and the new Gilded Gems.  The phrase is from the Rooted in Nature set.

This is the Lovely Lipstick.  I also embossed the strip of Gold foil with the Subtly Embossing folder.

I didn't emboss the die cut piece behind the phrase layer, but you certainly could.

You could do this Ombre effect with so many different stamp sets or DSP papers.

What color is your favorite?

Don't forget about my Mail It Monday.  Yesterday I did it a little different.  My husband dropped off over 100 cards at the local senior center.  I had contacted them to see if they were interested in cards to hand out to the residents.  It was a win win for me and them.  If you would like to receive a card on the next Mail It Monday please contact me with your address and I will drop one in the mail.

I have also updated the Hostess Code for April.  If your order is $149.00 or less, please use the hostess code to the right.  If it is $150.00 or higher do not use the Hostess Code you will earn your own rewards.  You never know what thank you gift I might send you. Hostess Code SV4BZAEP
