A Little Lace with some Garden Lane DSP

I have been recently doing a lot of cards with DSP.  I think I was like most crafters and would buy the DSP and be afraid to cut it up or use it just for 3-d projects.  Well...I have been trying to do more projects using DSP So, today I am sharing a easy peasy card using the die from A Little Lace Bundle and a piece of DSP.

As you can see a very easy card to make.  Die cut a portion of the Basic Black, and die cut or punch a layering circle on the top portion. Then layer a piece of  DSP on top.  Attach ribbon and attach to Mint Macaroon card base.  On a scrap piece of Mint Macaroon stamp leaf with Mint Macaroon and stamp phrase in Memento Black.  Die cut with the Stitched Circles and layer on top of Basic Black circle.  Attach with Dimensionals.

Beautiful Blizzard

Hello,

Happy Thursday...Friday is almost here!!  Do you have all your Christmas shopping done?  I have to say I am almost finished.  Just need to find a few more items for the stockings.

Today all my Christmas cards are going out in the mail.  I had planned on getting them out on Monday, but that didn't work.

Because my down line has seen most of my cards, I made them something a little different.  Hopefully they don't read this first.

I had several snowflakes that had been cut from the Blizzard Thinlits Die, so I based my colors on what I had, so I could use them up.  I made three different color combos out of the same card design.

BlueBerry Bushel

Balmy Blue

Real Red

I used the embossing mat and the Blizzard Thinlits Die to emboss the background on a piece of Shimmery White paper. Now if you have this embossing and are not sure how to use it.  I will post a video below that will show you exactly what to do. Also...if you look at the back of the paper work that comes with the embossing mat, it gives you all the combinations for cutting.

Sponge the background with the appropriate color.  Add a piece of White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and attach to all layers.  Stamp phrase in appropriate color and die cut with Layering Circles.  Die cut layer with the Stitched Framelits Circle.

Some the snowflakes were cut from Glimmer Paper, and some were cut from card stock.  The ones from card stock I added Wink of Stella on top.

Add a few Rhinestones and walah!  You are finished.

Here is the video on how to use the Embossing Mats.

Just for You

Today I am showing a card with the Rooted in Nature set and basic masking and sponging.  I am sure you have seen this technique all over pinterest.  It has become very popular with this set.

I masked off on both sides of a piece of Whisper White and sponged with Grapefruit Grove, Calypso Coral and Mango Melody.  Peal of mask and brush over the entire surface with the embossing buddy.

Stamp the tree in Versa Mark and emboss with Copper Embossing Powder.  Stamp sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White and emboss with Copper at the same time.  Die cut Sentiment and the next larger size out of the Early Espresso layer.

Attach all layers.  Before attaching the circle layers take a piece of the Copper ribbon and stretch it out.  The nice thing about this ribbon if you don't like the shape you can pull it back into ribbon form and do it again.  Attach with dimensionals.
