Pine Tree and First Frost DSP

For today's card I used a piece of First Frost.  First cut a piece of Real Red 5 1/2' x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".  Now cut off  1 3/4".  Save it, this is the piece you will use to make the little flap.

One side of the First Frost DSP is all beautiful scenes, and the other side is silver based.  With a blending brush added Real Red ink and than embossed it with the Subtle Embossing Folder. The only part that will keep the ink is where the white is on this paper.  Buff it off with a paper towel before embossing.

Punch out 3 Christmas Trees.  One from the center of the Basic Black layer, one from a scrap piece of Real Red and one from the Mercury Glass.  Layer these together.  I used glue dots behind the Mercury Glass in places where it would not show.

Take that piece of Real Red that you trimmed off the front and cut it down to 1 3/4" x 3 1/2", score it at 1/2"  Attach it to the inside piece of Whisper White.  Stamp the phrase on a piece of Whisper White. I used the Stamparatus to stamp the phrase.  I stamped once in Real Red and then moved the paper down and over just a hair and stamped it with the Delicata Silver.  Attach Trees with dimensionals and add bling!

Perfectly Plaid Tree's

Before I share today's project I wanted to let you know about a new class.  I decided to do a "Try it before you buy it!"

We have a new bundle coming out on November 1st.  It's called Christmas Time is Here Suite!

Click here to find out all the details.

Now onto today's card -

Today I want to share a card from the Perfectly Plaid Bundle.  I have to admit when I first saw this bundle, I said no to it.  But...after I saw a few cards with I knew I had to have it.  This card would be very easy to make dozen's of, in many different colors.

On a piece of scrap Whisper White stamp one of the tree's with Real Red.  Punch it out along with two Real Red one's. Embossed the Whisper White layer with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder.

Attach a piece of the Mercury Glass with Glue Dots onto a piece of Real Red.  Attach that to the Whisper White.  Attach Whisper White to the Real Red card base.  Stamp phrase and punch out with the Classic Label punch.  Attach tree's and phrase with dimensionals.
