So it's been a couple weeks since my last post. First I was very busy getting ready for Stampin' Palooza check out the details here for the next one. Then I spent some time cleaning my craft room before putting everything away. It seems to always be a work in progress.
So at the Jan. Stampin Palooza we made a total of 6 cards. Today I am going to show you 3 and 3 on the next post.
So we did a Retiform or (Retro as I call it) card using the Petal Pallet Stamp set.
- Take Post It notes and tape off a section of the card.
- In the taped off section start sponging lighter to darker with the sponge daubers (Keepin mind Island Indigo can get really dark)
- Stamp desired stamp with Island indigo on top of section.
- Cover the area you just stamped with post it notes and tape off a new section.
- Repeat sponging and stamping.
- Repeat these steps until whole paper is complete.
- You have an option of leaving a white space between each section, or no space at all.
- Attach ribbon.
The next project I am going to show you is the Daffodil Card, but I kept calling it a Lily, using the your Inspiring Stamp set. My mistake I guess I don't know my flowers.
- Take the piece of printer paper and tear it in half.
- With the easy release tape, tape down each half about an inch from each side of the Shimmer paper.
- Start sponging from lighter to darker in the open area.
- Remove the printer paper and stamp Lily stamp in Basic Black.
- Color inside of Lily with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.
- Attach Ribbon to Shimmer Paper.
- Attach all layers together.
The next one is The Pop up Box, or (Invisible Box) That is what Julie DiMatteo @ The Paper Pixie refereed to it as.
- On the long side of the card stock score @ 2”, 4”, 6”, 8”.
- On the short side score @ 2”, 5”,6”,7”.
- Fold down to the second score line on the 8 ½” side and put a tick mark on 1”, 3”, 5”, 7”.
- Cut away areas per the diagram on the right.
- Fold down the 1st score line before burnishing all folds. This will help the box form up and be able to do the up and down slide.
- Attach Tear & Tape to the tab and to the bottom and fold up the box.
- At this point you will be able to slide the box up and down and you want to do this a few times.
- Put the box in the closed position and glue the last tab in place.
- Stamp phrase on Whisper White and punch with 1 1/8” Scalloped Circle Punch.
- Punch 1 3/8” Scalloped Circle Punch out of Powder Pink or Lemon Lime Twist.
- Stamp Flower and die cut.
- Attach flower with glue dots.
- Attach Ribbon and attach Scalloped Circles with dimensionals.
This is a diagram of what you need to cut away.
I hope you enjoyed 3 of the 6 projects from Stampin' Palooza.
