Wonderful Romance

Today's project I used the beautiful Wonderful Floral Framelits and the Floral Romance DSP.  I am also using two of our retiring colors, Powder Pink and Fresh Fig.

As I have mentioned before I have been working on using this beautiful DSP we have.  So for this card we used a strip of the Floral Vellum in the Floral Romance pack.  Now this pack will be going away on June 3rd, so get it before it is gone.  I die cut the edgelet on a piece of Fresh Fig and layered the vellum on top.

To hide how I attached the vellum I put the tape under where you are going to place the punched circles.  Stamp the phrase with Fresh Fig on the layer piece of Powder Pink.  You will cover that up with all your layers.  Punch and assemble.

Ink Lifting with All That You Are

Before I get into today's project I want to share some new things that Stampin' Up now has available.

Now onto today's project.

Ink Lifting..Today I am going share how to do what I call Ink Lifting.  I will also share two different videos from two different people on how they did it.  They both call it something different. One is from Rick Adkins and he calls it Watercolor Bleaching and the other is from Jennifer McGuire and she refers to it as Water Painting.

I defiantly want to play with this some more but wanted to share what I have done so far.

Although it may look a little intimidating, it's not.  I used Pineapple Punch, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Mango Melody for this card.

On a piece of Shimmery White randomly stamp the flower with Versa Mark and emboss with White Embossing Powder.(don't forget to first use your embossing buddy)  Now just start blending lightest to darkest with all your inks.  I have been using the Yoseng Makeup Brushes for all my blending.  I like our sponges and daubers and they all have a purpose, but for blending I have been using these and have been very happy with them.  After you are finished blending, you then want to buff the top with a paper towel or dry rag.  Now take a paint brush and a cup of water and start painting in the areas you want to lift the paint off.  I did just the flower area.  Where you paint the water, dab with a paper towel to lift it back up.  It will then start lightening that area.  On the card above I went a little darker.  So you can really see the difference.

Another sample of the yellows.  This one I was much light with my blending.

I also did one in a green pallet.

Here are the two video's I mentioned.  Rick is a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, so he used all Stampin' Inks to do this technique.

Jennifer is a Stamping Guru and has her own blog and works with several different brands.  I like to watch her videos and what she does with other products and incorporate that with Stampin' Up products.

All That You Are

Hi Stampers,

Another easy peasy card.  I think we might make this one at my class on the 30th.

On Shimmery White stamp the flower and the phrase in Basic Gray.  Color just the flower with the Dark Pool Party Stampin Blends.

I also colored the Silver Ribbon with the Pool Party Stampin Blends.  Attach ribbon and then attach to all layers.

Add Clear Epoxy Dot and walah you are finished!
