Monthly Challenge and Stampin' up Website Updates.

Welcome to August.  I am starting a Monthly Challenge.  This month it will be a color challenge.

Here is what I came up with:

On Shimmery White, I taped off a strip on each side with Purple Tape. (You can use any easy release tape).  With my Blending Brushes I added all three colors.  Stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  You can then remove the tape, just pull slowly, so you don't tear the paper.

Stamp phrase with Misty Moonlight and die cut.  Attach ribbon and attach to front of card with Dimensionals.

This one was actually the first one I did, and I just grabbed a scrap piece of Whisper White and layed the colors down to see how it would work.  I decided to turn it into a card.

On this one, I used the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set.  I started out with the same layout as the first card, but ended up with a smudge.  So, I cut the strip down and attached it to a piece of Whisper White and then added two strips of Misty Moonlight.

On this one I took a strip added the ink and stamped the feather in Basic Gray.

Layer the stamped image on a piece of Basic Gray.  On Whisper White, stamp your phrase in Basic Gray and then emboss it with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.

One of these two cards might be a bonus card in the Tasteful Touches Class.  You still have time to sign up.

The new Mini Aug - Dec Catalog is now live.

Let me know if you did not have a catalog.

Beginning August 4th, when you visit the Stampin’ Up! Online Store, it is going to look very different.  Stampin’ Up! is doing a complete update with a brand new site. But, like with all change–it is very different!

Hello Sunflower!

Today I wanted to share the new Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle.  Now, for this card I did not use the die cuts that come with it, but they sure are nice!  I just used the big bold Sunflower.  It is so pretty!  Unfortunately, I did not have the new in color inks at the time I made this, but I did use the new Bumblebee card stock for the card base.

On a piece of Shimmer Paper, I stamped the sunflower in the lower left corner with  Early Espresso, and then randomly stamped the splatter from the Forever Fern set in Early Espresso as well. Give it a couple minutes to dry thoroughly and then with your favorite blending tool add Crushed Curry Ink.  I like to use the blending brushes, but any type of blending tool will work.

Stamp the phrase with Early Espresso.  Add a piece of the new Faux Suede Ribbon and attach the card front to the early Espresso layer, and then attach it to the Crushed Curry card base.

And of course don't forget to add a little bling!
