Beach Happy Watercolor

Hello,

Here in the Pacific Northwest we are getting hit with more snow then we are used to.  Although the snow is very pretty the first day, a week later and we are still getting snow...I'm done with it.  So...today's cards reflect the mood I was in over this past snowy weekend.

I have been wanting to work on some watercolor again and this was the perfect combination.

I used Sea of Texture and Beach Happy Stamp Sets.

On a craft mat I stamped Balmy Blue Blueberry Bushel and Grapefruit Grove Ink.  Spritzed with a water color shimmer mix.  For the die cut pieces I used a pieces of Shimmery White, for the cards I used watercolor paper.

Spritzed and drug the paper through the watercolor ink.

Die cut the coral, sea grass and netting out of the Shimmery White.

As I made each card I did do a little extra sponging on the background with Grapefruit Grove.  Although you can't tell in the photos, I did pop a couple of the card fronts with the foam tape to give it a little extra dimension.

I made each just a little different, but this would make a great set to give away to somebody.

The size of the cards are a bit different.  When I started this project I grabbed some scrap watercolor paper. It was 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".  The size of the finished card is 4"x 4".  You could make envelopes to go with them, but they will also fit in a regular A4 size envelope.

I had fun working with watercolor again. You have so many options of what you can do.
