Country Floral Embossing Folder

Hello Stampers,

Before I share today's post I wanted to let you all know about an upcoming class.  Do you have the winter blues?  Need some crafting therapy?  Come join me on Saturday March 2nd at 1:00 .  We will make 5-6 cards, have some light snacks and drinks and get some crafting therapy in.  Click here for all the details.

Now...onto today's post.

I wanted to share with you the new Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.(free with $50.00 purchase before S&T)  Wow a very long name for this one.  This folder alone makes a very beautiful card.  I am going to share 3 different cards I did with this new folder.

The recommendation for the new Dynamic Embossing Folders is to spritz them just a little with water before running it through.  They say it helps to prevent the paper from cracking.  Although I have never had this problem I did do it this way with this folder.

Lightly spritz a piece of Shimmery White paper with water and emboss with the Country Floral folder.  I then brushed across the top embossed image with Blueberry Bushel a blending makeup brush.  Yes, you heard it right...I am using a contraband product.  I love our sponges and daubers, but I recently saw a couple stampers ( not Stampin' Up) using a brand called Picket Fence Blending Brushes.  Well...they are around $50.00 so I did a little research and found a similar brand on Amazon for $15.00, click here for the link if you want to try them.  Now I have not compared the two so I can't tell you if one is better then the other.  But I like the softness you get with these.

I took one of the smaller brushes and went over the large rose just a little more to make it darker.  Die cut 3 of the word thanks out of the layering piece of Blueberry Bushes and assemble.  Attach pearls, and you are finished.

This one was done exactly the same, just used Basic Grey and Petal Pink.

Now, this one I did do just a little different.  I took a piece of Basic Black Card stock and spritzed it with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer Paint and Rubbing Alcohol. I then took a blending brush and went across the top with the White Craft Ink.

On a piece of scrap Shimmers Paper, I stamped the flower from the new Painted Season Stamp set (free with $100.00 purchase before S&T) with Memento Ink, and die cut it out.  Now the Die Cuts for this set will be available on March 1st along with a few others.  Attach ribbon and assemble.  Add a few pearls.
