Snowflake Colorful Seasons

It's been a while since I last posted.  I have been busy getting ready for my annual holiday card class that was held last Sunday.  A fun time was had by all.

This is one of the cards available to make.

I had posted another version in black you can see here.

Such simple card to make but very elegant.

I used the Colorful Season Bundle & Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Fall Eclipse

Hello,

Today I want to share a few different cards.  Last Friday I went to a fellow demonstrator's house (Robin Thrower) for a Fall card class. 

These are the two cards we made.

The above card we spritzed the embossing folder with ink before running it through the machine.  What a great new technique to try.  Thanks you robin for sharing.

I also took one card to share, and we made this Fall card using the Eclipse technique with the Painted Harvest stamp set.

This seems to be a hot new technique floating around pinterest and facebook, so I just had to give it a try.

One more to share using the Colorful Seasons Bundle.  I can't wait to do some more experimenting with this technique.  I might teach this at my next monthly meeting.

Fall Colorful Seasons

So...I made another card using the same technique as the Snowflake Colorful Season card.  Details here.

Stamp the leaves with Versa Mark on Watercolor Paper & emboss with Clear Embossing Powder.  Spritz with water & add color with the Aqua Painter.  I used Pear Pizzazz, Lemon Lime Twist and Peekaboo Peach.   Stamp sentiment out with Pear Pizzazz.

Die cut a leaf out of each color and attach ribbon and assemble.

Watercolor Snowflakes

I have really been wanting to use the new Colorful Seasons Bundle.  So today I am sharing a card I made using the Watercolor Embossing Resist Technique.

On watercolor paper I stamped the snowflakes with Versa Mark & embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  Normally you use the Aqua Pinter & squirt the water directly onto the paper.  Which also works, however I like this way a little better, because your paper does not get as soaked.

Spritz the water color paper with water, then with the Aqua Painter start blending Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Dapper Denim. (squeezing the ink pad while closed puts ink in the lid and can be used for water color)  If your paper starts drying out a little to fast you can always spritz it again.  This will also help your colors blend together.

Die cut three snowflakes out of Vellum and paint with Wink of Stella.  Stamp sentiment with Dapper Denim.  Stamp stars from the Star of Light set randomly in the background with Marina Mist sentiment with Dapper Denim.   Attach ribbon,(yes I used the Night of Navy ribbon, but I liked the contrast with it) then attach all layers.

Attach snowflakes and add pearls.

Colorful Seasons #2

Still thinking about that nice warm beach.

 For this one I used the sand from the High Tide and stamped it with Crumb Cake.  With an Aqua Painter I did the sky background with Soft Sky & Bermuda Bay.  Stamped the birds from High Tide with Basic Gray.

Die cut chair out of Whisper White.

Colorful Seasons Beach Life

The beach sounds pretty good right now, but...one can only dream.

So we will make a beach themed card instead.

Sponge the background with Crumb Cake, Soft Sky and Marina Mist.  Stamp chair in Crumb Cake and Marina Mist.  

Attach Linen Thread and a little bling and whala you are finished.
