Merry Christmas Starlight

Well, today I am back with a Christmas card made with the new Star of Light stamp set & Starlight Thinlits Dies, & the stars from the Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies.

Die cut a few of the stars on the Shimmer paper.  Then stamp all the different stars with Smokey Slate, Cherry Cobbler, & Basic Grey.

Die cut the solid star out of Basic Grey & score the lines to get it to pop up a little.  Paint on Clear Wink of Stella & add a dimensional to pop up the star.  Stamp words & die cut ovals, add Enamel thread.

Vintage Leaves

Today I decided to change it up a little.  Before we know it Thanksgiving will be in the review mirror, & Black Friday will be on our minds.

I wanted to go back to an old favorite the Vintage Leaves, but also wanted to show a new technique.  Well at least new to me.  Stencil Embossing...yes another way to use something you already have.

Se the background, that was done with a stencil.  This is how Tammy Tutterow did it.

Well..I didn't do it quite the same way.  I did not have all the same pads & I wanted to be able to do this in a class.  So in place of the silicone pad & the impressions pad I used 2 pieces of cardboard.  Yes, it worked.  Now you may have to adjust your card amount depending on how thick of cardboard you are using.

On Whisper White dry emboss with the stencil, then sponge with Old Olive, Peekaboo Peach & Crushed Curry.  I also sponged the same colors on a separate sheet, stamped 2 leaves & embossed with copper.  Then die cut them out.

 I also die cut out a small leaf out of the copper.

Merry Medely

Hello Stampers,

Just a quick post with a card made using the Merry Medley background stamp.  It's such a versatile stamp.  Works well on it's own, or pair it up with something.  It's becomming one of my favaroits for this holiday season.

I have been wanting to do some experimenting with stamping on acetate for a while.  So...I finally did it.  I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Stamp the Merry Medley on acetate with StazOn Ink.  I used glue dots to attach the acetate to the Whisper White.  I hid those with the star enamel dot, & behind the bakers twine.
