Merry Christmas Wishes

Hello Stampers!

Today I wanted to share a card that was from my Holiday Card Class a few weeks ago.

As I mentioned on an earlier post, I am really trying to use my DSP for things other then bags or boxes.  Which is what I usually do.

I die cut the word Christmas out of Cherry Cobbler and Gray Granite.  I staggered the layering so you could see a little of Gray Granite underneath.  Add Wink of Stella on top.  Stamp the word on a piece of whisper White with Cherry Cobbler and die cut.  Die cut the layering Oval out of Cherry Cobbler.  Attach the word Christmas in the middle.

Attach Ribbon to DSP and add all layers.  I added a Pearl for the dot on the letter I.

High Tide & Lift Me Up

Well the calendar says it's the first day of summer today, but I'm not feeling it here is Washington State.  But...it's on it's way suppose to be in the 80's by the end of the week.  That is good I have a ton of weeds to pull.

On to my 2nd set of card from the Stampin' Palooza.

I have to admit until Michaela presented this card to all of us, I had not bought this set.  Just not one that thrilled me.  I have since used parts of it on another card..  You stamp off almost every stamp first except the birds, the detail light house & the phrase.

So quick & easy & you could use so many different color combos with this.

Product List

Lift me Up..We decided to turn this card into a tri-fold just to have something a little different.

  1. Fold pre-scored body of card, first in half then flip half back again as indicated by sample.
  2. Stamp small balloon with Versa Mark on the Whisper White & heat emboss with white embossing powder.
  3.   Stamp the small & large balloon on scrap with Versa Mark & heat emboss with white embossing powder.
  4.  Stamp clouds with Island Indigo on scrap.
  5.   Die cut balloons & clouds.
  6. Sponge the background of the Wisper White with Soft Sky on the bottom, Calypso Coral in the middle (sunset affect) & Island Indigo at the top. Keep in mind Island Indigo can be very dark, so sponge off a little on  scrap first.  You can always add more ink, but you can’t take it off.
  7. Sponge the large balloon with Calypso Coral & Soft Sky on the basket.
  8.  Attach clouds with glue dots & large balloon with dimensionals.
  9. Stamp phrase with Island Indigo & punch out with Pretty Label Punch.
  10. Sponge around the edge with Island Indigo, attach with dimensionals.
  11.  Attach to Island Indigo piece.
  12.  Attach to Z-fold card base. Remember to only tape the edge of the card.

Inside The Lines & a Dragonfly

Today's post is a really simple card.  I have really been enjoying the Inside The Lines paper (free with $50.00 until 3/31/2017)

It's an easy way to make a quick card.

Again I use a baby wipe with Bermuda Bay ink & lightly went across the DSP.  With a finger dauber I colored the inside of the flowers with So Saffron.  Die cut the Dragonfly out of the center of the Basic Black & add Wink of Stella.  Attach Black Bakers Twine.

As you can see from the last few posts I have been on a Bermuda Bay & Basic Black kick.  I promise to switch up my colors for the next post.

Dragonfly Dreams #3

Hope you are not tired of the Dragonfly set yet.  I have another one to show you.  Remember on Thursday's post I said I would show you what to do with the Dragonfly we cut from the water color background.

So, for the background I used Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, & Old Olive & a baby wipe.  Then with the grid lines from the Timeless Texture randomly stamp with Basic Black.  Die Cut the Dragonflies out of the center of the Basic Black layer & glue Watercolor Dragonflies on top of one another,  I offset mine just a little.  Attach with Dimensionals.  Stamp Sentiment & attach Black Metallic Thread.  I added Wink of Stella on top the Dragonflies.
