Scrappy Strip and Herringbone Technique

I hope everybody is enjoying their summer.  Here in WA state we actually had a bit of a heat wave.  I have to say I am glad it is over.

Just a couple quick reminder before I get onto today's projects.  You still have time to sign up for the Stampin Bingo!  Don't miss out on all the fun, come join us.

And...don't forget about my Shopping Spree!

This is a great way to earn some free product.

Now onto today's projects.  For my monthly club we used the Many Mates Bundle and the Artistry Blooms DSP on one of the projects.  Well...I ended up with several 1" strips from what I had die cut so I thought I would turn them into a few cards.

This is the blue version.

The pink'ish yellow version.

The green/blue version, I did the Herringbone Technique.

As you can see these techniques are very easy to do.  Here is the link to my previous post on the scrappy strip technique with my first video.

As always let me know if you have any questions about the project, the products, or any of my upcoming classes or events.

Peaceful Place DSP Quick and Easy Card

 Hello,

Today I wanted to share a few quick and easy card using the Peaceful Place DSP.  This DSP and the Heartfelt Wishes I am using in my bonus class for my monthly club. To find out all the details on monthly club click here.

I also did a very quick video making one of the cards and a sneak peak of one of the cards that will be in the bonus class.

This card was designed by my daughter-in-law Jessica.

This one is the one I made in the video.

This is another alternative with the DSP.

Here is what you use all the scraps for.  The scrappy strip technique.

Scrappy Strip Technique

Today I am sharing a new technique that I fist saw on FB.  Kylie Bertucci husband Bruno had made card using up DSP scraps.

So...I decided to do my fist video showing how to do this technique.  Now, keep in mind this is my first, and I did not do editing.  I did a lot of research about stamping/crafting videos and yes some people do all the fancy editing and what not.  But...their are plenty that do not.  I am one of the do not's at least for now.

This technique is a great way to use up small scraps.  You know you have them!  Depending on the length is how I decided what size to make the focal piece.

These were all made with the Ornate Garden DSP, and the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I ended up with several because I had to redo my video three times.

Don't forget to save a few strips for the inside.

These two I used the Tropical Oasis DSP and the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.

This one I also used a piece of the Ornate Garden DSP.  It is colored with Stampin' Blends.

These two were with The Parisian Blossoms DSP and Silver Foil paper.

And last but not least, this one I used the Sea of Silhouette DSP.

Which one is your favorite?

Here is my video:

Don't forget about my Mail It Monday.  Yesterday I did it a little different.  My husband dropped off over 100 cards at the local senior center.  I had contacted them to see if they were interested in cards to hand out to the residents.  It was a win win for me and them.  If you would like to receive a card on the next Mail It Monday please contact me with your address and I will drop one in the mail.
