Quick and easy card with the Ornate Garden Bundle

I have spent a lot of time lately scheduling class, paper shares, and more, andnot sharing any new ideas.  So...today I wanted to show a quick and easy card with the Ornate Garden Bundle.

I embossed the Old Olive layer with the new Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  Stamped the phrase on Very Vanilla and die cut with the Ornate Layers Die.  I added a piece of the new Forever Greenery Trim Ribbon and layered it on top of a piece of Basic Black, then onto the Old Olive card base.

I said it was quick and simple!

Mail it Monday

Today I wanted a share my Mail it Monday cards.  This week I sent out one design, five cards with five different colors.  I did all these the same, with just a little variation on each one.  I used the Avery Sticker Project Paper for my mat around the card front to tape it off.  This comes in 8 1/2" x 11"sheets, so it is easy to die cut any size or shape. But you could use Sticky Notes or Purple Tape, what ever is your favorite for this kind of technique.

For each one I started with Shimmer paper and die cut the desired size from the Rectangle Shapes out of the Sticker Paper.  Attach to the front of the Shimmer paper. With the Stamparatus stamp the image in Memento Black.  I used the Stamparatus so I could stamp multiple times to get a very dark image.  With you blending brushes blend with desired color.  I choose not to blend the entire area.  Once you get the desired color, you can remove the mask and attach all layers.

Today is the first day I am doing Mail It Monday.  I am mailing out 5 cards every Monday and sending hugs in the mail.  If you would like to receive a random card that you can resend out and keep for a special occasion, contact me.

Here are today's cards.

 I have been in a bit of slump lately.  Just not feeling all that creative.  Part of it is I am trying to figure out a new approach to classes.  I have never done a FB or YouTube video.  The only videos I have taken are of my grandson or the ocean water crashing on the beach.  So I have a lot to learn.  If anybody has tips or suggestions, please share.

Now onto today's project. 

This is a quick and simple card with the new Ornate Garden DSP.

 I used the long narrow die from the Ornate Layers Dies and cut three strips out of the DSP.  I layered the strips onto a piece of Basic Black that I embossed with the Subtly Embossing Folder.  Then attach to a piece of Gold Foil and onto the Old Olive card base.  To save paper I did die cut a rectangle out of the center of the Gold Foil.  My layers always have something cut out of the center.

With the Stitched So Sweetly Dies I die cut a piece out of the Copper Foil and stamped the phrase with Staz On ink.  The layer is out of a piece of Old Olive and embossed with the Subtly Embossing Folder.  I attached dimensionals on the back of the Old Olive piece to give it just a little lift.

Don't forget to add the Old Olive Ribbon to the Basic Black layer.  I also colored one of the new Gilded Gems with the Old Olive Stampin Blends.  It goes perfect with the gold and green.
