Quick and easy card with the Ornate Garden Bundle

I have spent a lot of time lately scheduling class, paper shares, and more, andnot sharing any new ideas.  So...today I wanted to show a quick and easy card with the Ornate Garden Bundle.

I embossed the Old Olive layer with the new Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  Stamped the phrase on Very Vanilla and die cut with the Ornate Layers Die.  I added a piece of the new Forever Greenery Trim Ribbon and layered it on top of a piece of Basic Black, then onto the Old Olive card base.

I said it was quick and simple!

Ornate Garden Fun Fold

Wow!  Can you believe it?  The May Paper Pumpkin is sold put already.  You can sign up for the June Paper Pumpkin on May 11th.  I will share a sneak peek as soon as I get it.

Today's project is a quick fun fold with products from the new Ornate Garden set.

This fun fold has become one of my favorites, and it is a quick and easy fun fold.  The portion you cut off the side ends up to be the front flap.  So...you have no waste.

Take a piece of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Old Olive and score it at 4 1/4" then cut off 1 3/4" for the flap.  Cut this piece down to 4" and score at 1/4"

Die cut the circle edge piece out of Whisper White and attach it to the 2 1/4" x 51/4' piece of Ornate Garden DSP.(Designer Series Paper)  Before attaching the inside piece you need to attach the 4" flap onto the back of it and then attach to the inside of the Old Olive.

On a piece of 1 1/2" x 3 3/4" piece of Whisper Whist stamp your phrase with Memento Black, and attach it to the front of the flap.  On a piece of scrap Whisper White stamp the Daisy flower twice in Crushed Curry.  Punch them both out and punch and extra one in Whisper White.  Layer all three with Glue Dots and attach to the front of the flap.

I did stamp two Daisy's on the inside, however I think next time I would stamp them on the other side of the inside piece.

Ornate Garden Sneak Peek

My last post I told you the benefit of joining and how you could get the new Ornate Garden Suite.  Today I am going to share a few cards I made from that suite.

This suite of stamps and dies have so many possibilities.  I can't wait to play with it more.  I have to say I am please that Stampin' Up has released something from the annual catalog a little early.

I die cut a piece of Shimmery White with the largest die.  Stamped the flower bouquet with Versa Mark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I used a Sponge Dauber and Grapefruit Grove and Old Olive ink.  I didn't worry about staying in the lines with the daubers.  Added a few of the new Gilded Gems and layered it onto a piece of Grapefruit Grove.

Now the next one I stamped the flower and the phrase in Memento Black on a piece of Shimmery White.  I then used my blending brushes and blended Terracotta Tile and Old Olive on top.  I added a piece of the New Old Olive ribbon and layered onto a piece of Basic Black and then onto the Old Olive card base.

Now this next one looks really pretty in real life, but my picture certainly doesn't do it any justice.

On a piece of Shimmery White I die cut the largest frame die and stamped the flower with Versa Mark and embossed with Clear Ink.  I then used my blending brushes and added Seaside Spray Ink.  I stamped the phrase in Seaside Spray also.  Now I really thought this card looked more like a wedding or sympathy card, but I didn't need any of those right now, so I choose a Happy Birthday instead.

I layered it onto a piece of Seaside Spray and added a few pearls.
