Retiform Techniques

Today I wanted to share a new technique, well new to me.  I have seen this technique all over pinterest, and decided to give it a try.

I am not sure how, or why it is called "Retiform", to me it's more like a collage.

After making one card of course I had to try several others.  This one I used Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, So Saffron and stamped with Early Espresso.

I added just a little bling to top it off.

This one I used Old Olive and So Saffron for the sponging, and stamped with Early Espresso, Calypso Coral and Old Olive.

Added just a little Early Espresso Ribbon(retired).

As I was working on these I glanced down at a stack of Christmas stamps and the Beachy Little Christmas was staring at me.  I had not used this stamp set yet, and was struggle with what to do with it.

I have to say I like how it turned out.  I used Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Smokey Slat for the sponging and stamped with Basic Gray.

As far as instructions on how to do this technique you can find several different videos on pintrest or youtube. I did use the small sticky notes to mask off, but the larger ones would work better.  I also used a dauber to get the crisp edge around each section.  I thought it worked better then the sponges for that part.
