Black Ice with Wonderful Romance

Hello Stampers,

Today I wanted to share a couple cards I made using the Black Ice Technique and the FREE Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets.

I wanted to try this technique for a while with these two foil sheets and finally got around to it.  To see previous posts with instructions click here. Thank you  Melissa Kerman for teaching us all how to do this.

As you can see in the picture above I ended up with a smooth streak coming down the middle.  Wasen't want I wanted on it, but it happens.

I really love this Grapefruit Grove paper.  Now the Lovely Lipstick is a little bright for me, but this technique really dulls it down.

Stamped the phrase in Stazon Ink

Add a little bling!

Winter Woods

Hi Stampers,

Have you ever ordered a stamp and thought..I can't wait to use that one, it's perfect.  Then you get it and all of the sudden you don't know what to do with it.  Well that is what happened with the Winter Woods Bundle.  I know right away I wanted this set.  But...I have to say I have struggled a little trying to figure out what to do with it.

I decided to try the Black Ice Technique with the trees.  I have to say I really like it.  Although The Black Ice Technique seems like it would be difficult, it's not.  To see the details on Black Ice click here.

After doing all the steps I did go back and sponge Blueberry Bushel on the top of the card, for the sky affect.  You will need to heat set it with an Embossing Gun. Stamp phrase in Memento Black and Emboss with Clear Embossing powder.  Add ribbon and assemble.

Lovely Floral Embossing Folder

Today I am sharing a card I made using the Black Ice Technique.  Original post link is here.  But this one is more like the Blue Ice Technique.

First I drug the piece of Silver Foil Paper with the Basic Black, then embossed it with the new Lovely Floral Embossing Folder.  I then took a sponge and sponged with the new Blueberry Bushel lightly all over the foil piece.

I also colored the inside of the flower with Night of Navy and the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.  Then heat set it with the embossing gun.  Now do the final stem by dragging the Versa Mark and embossing it with clear embossing powder.

Attach to a piece of So Saffron, then add the ribbon and attach it to the piece of Night of Navy.  When I made this card I did not have any of the new ribbon colors, so I took the sponge and sponged the ribbon with Blueberry Bushel and let it dry.  You could also use the Stampin Blends to do the same thing.

This Lovely Lace embossing folder is part of the new bundle you can now order.  Stampin' Up is offering 3 different types of bundles, and you can also order the new In-Colors before the new 2018-2019 catalog goes live on June 1st.  Click here to see all the options.

Black Ice with Amazing You

I have been playing with the Black Ice technique lately and decided to try it with out using Foil paper.  Now unfortunately the Amazing You set was a celebration set and is no longer available, but I still have been playing with it.  It would be nice to see it carry over into the new catalog.

I took a piece of Basic Gray card stock and drug the Basic Black across it to make the streaks just like with the Foil paper.  Remember to keep it at an angel. Then stamped the flower with Basic Black and colored with Night of Navy Stampin' Blends and stamped the phrase with Basic Black.

Now you drag Versa mark across (at an angel) and emboss with clear embossing powder.  Cut into 3 pieces and attach to a piece of Whisper White.  Add ribbon and attach to Night of Navy and then to Basic Gray.

Here is a link to the Original Black Ice, you will also find a link to Melissa Kerman who has a great video on how to do this technique.
